Requesting access to governed materials
Access to restricted archival materials is governed by the Iroko Framework access tier system. Requests are evaluated on the basis of the requester's credentials, community standing, and the specific materials sought. Public materials are discoverable without a request. For L2 through L5 materials, contact IHS with your research purpose and credentials. L6 materials are not accessible under any circumstances.
Entrusting the Work · Preserving What Was Earned
Is there a collection in your care?
The Iroko Historical Society was founded by an experienced elder priest in multiple Afro-Atlantic traditions, with more than three decades of active practice and fieldwork. The governance structure was built from inside the traditions it describes. What was restricted in life remains restricted in the archive. What was earned must continue to be earned.
If you are watching a collection and wondering what happens to it, we are ready to have that conversation. No commitment is implied. Nothing moves without your authorization.
